Gary's 1985 Chevy K10 "LT4 RS legend"

This 1985 Chevrolet k10 underwent a complete frame-off nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration, riding on the Roadster Shop legend series chassis powered by the 6.2 supercharged lt4 and a 10l90e transmission. This k10 drives like a new Gm truck and is super fast!  Literally!

This truck started out as a 1985 chevy c10. After disassemble and sandblasting. This engineered masterpiece was designed after the 2014 chevy silverado which is why this truck drives as well as a brand new Chevrolet.  Having the majoity of the parts being geniue gm parts helps service ability. The engine is equipped with all gm front accesory drive as well as using gm fans, radiator, and condenser. The modern oem has been seemly blended with the super custom and refined engine bay to give a custom but drivable k10. A custom built radaitor cover was fabrication which hides the oem radiator and fans as well as shaving the entire core support. The entire firewall was cut out and custom built to follow the contours of the motor and to give some shape to this engine bay. Custom built side panels to built to finish out the engine bay. All of the wiring has been tucked and hidden seamlessly as well as the attension of detail on laying out and addressing the ac hoses. The use of littleshop billet hood hinges and gas struts gives the accuracy for a precise fit and finish.  The lt4 cover and various parts from the Legend package was taken apart and painted and detailed to finish off the engine bay. The oem style expansion tank was source in order to match the oem style.

This original body has been taken down to bare metal and completely reworked the shapes of each panel, including perfecting the door gaps for a high-end finish.  The body was blocked to perfection and features a laser straight body. The truck has been completely painted from top to bottom with Sherwin-Williams basecoat/clearcoat Porshe Chalk gray accented by Linen White. It has all-new factory clear glass and rubber throughout, all-new chrome and lower molding. The inside of the bed features color match raptor liner as well as tiedown points. Bear claw latches were also used in the tailgate for a soft closing tailgate.

 

The roadstershop chassis uses a oem style gas tank where it is feed from the factory filler door on the bed.  ​The exhaust features a factory gm y-pipe with cats into a borla touring muffler and then comes out with 2.5 inch stainless exhaust. For extra head protection the exhaust was fully wrapped in heat wrap. This chassis features 4 wheel oem gm brakes with a estop electric parking brake. The Blazer sits on a set of 17-inch Mickey Thompson wheels wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich tires. Also featuring hidden amp steps that were custom built​​

The chassis is powder-coated in black and has new stainless-steel brake lines, fuel lines and new body bushings. The truck sits on full IFS front suspension on fox coilovers and deaver rear leaf springs. The rear axle features a 2014 style rear axle. This chassis also features shift on the fly 4 low and 4 high from the turn of a knob. This truck also can tow with a trailer hitch as well as a set of airlift helper bags.

The inside of the cab was completely Raptor-lined and sound-deadened. The full custom interior is wrapped in tan Apex Auto leather. A set of factory high back buckets were added and shaped to our client's preference. A custom-built console was also added as well as panels behind the seat and corner speakers. The surrounding headliner trim pieces were leather wrapped and alcantar headliner was added.  The carpet was fully done in apex German square weave and edged in leather.  The dash is finished off with a brand-new set of Dakota digital RTX gauges. The audio is provided by a Retro-sound stereo with speakers in the door, and original style door panels were completely reupolstered and added custom built lower sections. Underneath the dash is an all-new wiring harness. The interior is cooled by a new Gen-5 Vintage Air climate control system and a brand new ididit tilt steering column with a polished Sparc steering wheel that has been baseball stitched. A custom-built ac panel was made to cover up the vintage air unit.
